Welcome to Renohacks

Like anything in life, the hardest part is taking the first step....

Over endless cups of coffee with friends, most of whom are in the throws of their own reno projects, a nugget of an idea was conceived.... a blog to help other home renovators through the process, and drawing on our own experiences, help them to avoid the pitfalls (or at least be prepared for them.)

Renovating a home in London is a journey not for the faint hearted. Many choose to have their builds managed by Architects, Project Managers or Interior Designers.

Even for those of us who work in the industry, navigating the minefield of party wall agreements, movement monitoring and environmental impact reports can be a real headache!

The mantra 'renovate or die trying', as finances are pushed to the limit and beyond, seems all but appropriate.

The home renovator can often feel they are thrown in at the deep end, without having the requisite knowledge to make informed decisions. This can be super stressful, as changes made along the way due to mistakes eat into the budget and the works schedule.

Renovating is a bit like giving birth. PAINFUL!!! But worth it in the end.

I hope that by sharing our journeys we can empower you to feel in control of the process.

Welcome to RENOHACKS.
